💗 YOU make amazing resources that students and teachers need. You are helping teachers. You are helping students.

👉🏻 You. Are. Amazing.

I am blown away by the amazing math resources I see you make every single day.

Keep it up! You’re killing it! 🌟

❤️ Double tap if you’re ready to focus on what’s important!
💗This is my why. In January of 2019, I was in 💗This is my why.

In January of 2019, I was in my 8th year of teaching high school math when I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. I was ecstatic.

Then, dread set in. The thought of having to leave my newborn at 6 weeks to go back to the classroom made me sick. I loved teaching, but I knew I wanted to stay home with my baby.

I had a small “side biz” at the time — a TPT store I started in 2017. However, the income wasn’t enough for me to stay home.

I decided to start putting all of my energy outside of teaching into building my TPT store.

I learned everything I could about making math resources. I had already been creating math resources for 8 years, but I needed a streamlined process. I knew I wouldn’t have tons of time as a new mom.

My TPT store grew, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that my business could be more. That I was made for more.

I had lunch with my friend @kaysemorris in May of 2019, and that helped me gain a new passion and purpose: helping math teachers.

I knew I was an expert at efficiently creating professional math resources. I also knew that other teachers could really benefit from learning these skills.

So, in July of 2019, I launched Math Resource Academy for the first time.

That fall, I didn’t go back to teaching. I had Cora in October, and I’ve been able to stay home with her ever since.

Fast forward 2 years, and I’ve now helped over 700 teachers learn how to create engaging math resources.

I honestly can’t begin to explain how blessed I feel. I say this all the time: it’s a privilege to serve teachers.

I’m so thankful for each and every one of you who have been a part of my journey. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love: teach!

Being able to train teachers around the world while staying home with my baby is truly the biggest blessing.

My family is my why. My MRA fam is my why. Serving teachers is my why. This is only the beginning. 💗
