How to Create Product Lines and Bundles on TPT (and Why They’ll Skyrocket Your Sales)

Have you ever felt like your Teachers Pay Teachers store is a mix of random resources with no real theme or flow? I did the exact same thing when I started my TPT store…

I uploaded all kinds of resources, even classroom décor (which is funny because decorating was not my thing). But once I learned how to create product lines and bundles on TPT, everything changed.

My store became more organized, my products sold faster, and my monthly income started to grow consistently.

Once you learn how to create product lines and bundles that work with your business, you won’t believe what is possible.

What Is a Product Line on TPT?

A product line is simply a set of related resources that share a theme. You can approach this in two main ways:

  • By resource type: notes, worksheets, task cards, or assessments
  • By topic: right triangle resources, sight word resources, or parts of speech lessons

If it fits your niche, you can mix both types of product lines in your TPT store, but try not to overcomplicate things. Keep your product lines consistent and intentional.

Why Product Lines Work

Creating a product line builds trust with your buyers. When buyers see that your resources are organized, cohesive, and thoughtfully made, they’re far more likely to come back and purchase again from your store.

And here’s the best part: once you find what sells, you can easily create more of it.

Product lines also make creating new resources easier (and faster). Once you have solid templates for your resource, cover, preview, and thumbnails, you can reuse them – just swap out the content and update the images.

That’s how I built my Geometry Notes and Worksheets line, and it completely changed my store’s growth for the better.

How to Know What to Turn Into a Product Line

If you already have sales data, use it. Find your top 5 best sellers and see what they have in common. That’s usually your strongest clue about what buyers want more of.

If you’re a newer seller on TPT and don’t have much data yet, you can start by creating:

  • Resources you need most in your own classroom
  • Lessons or activities you love to teach
  • Content you know other teachers are searching for

What Are Bundles on TPT?

A bundle is a group of related products from a single product line. Bundles help buyers save time (and money) while giving them everything they need in one place.

TPT makes this easy with their built-in Bundle Tool, where you can group multiple listings together and TPT automatically shows the bundle as a discounted price.

My advice is don’t wait until your product line is finished to bundle. Start creating bundles as soon as you have a few finished resources uploaded. They can’t sell if they’re sitting on your computer, so you might as well add them as a growing bundle!

What Is a Growing Bundle?

A growing bundle is a marketing strategy where you sell a partially complete bundle and clearly label it as “growing.”

As you add new resources, anyone who already purchased the bundle gets the new additions for free.

This helps to create urgency because teachers love knowing they’ll get more value later on. You can also promote it as a “buy now before the price goes up” offer.

How to Make Your Bundles Stand Out

A lot of sellers will just upload their resources into a bundle and stop there – but if you want your bundle to convert well, you need to take the extra time to market it properly.

Create a dedicated preview file for the bundle

Show what’s included in the bundle, why it’s valuable, how much time it saves, and how much teachers save by buying the bundle instead of individual resources.

Use a video preview

Video previews are amazing for showing off what’s inside your bundle on TPT. You can create them easily in Canva by exporting your slides as a video.

Optimize your listing

Fill in all three thumbnails, write a detailed description, and highlight the number of weeks or lessons included in the bundle.

Price your bundle strategically

TPT automatically discounts bundles by 20%, but you can adjust that if needed. A 20% discount is usually what most sellers do – it shows clear savings and increases conversions.

Why Bundles Boost Your Income

Bundles can be the key to bigger sales on TPT. While single resources might sell for $3 – $10, bundles can bring in $30, $50, $100 – or even more with just one sale

In my own store, my full curriculum bundles sell for hundreds of dollars, and those high-ticket items are what really drives my sales each month.

How to Create Product Lines and Bundles on TPT that Sell

Here’s how you can feel confident knowing that you are creating product lines and bundles that will be successful in your TPT store:

  • Use your data to identify your best-performing topics or product formats.
  • Create templates to speed up production.
  • Upload products as you finish them – don’t wait for perfection.
  • Turn your product lines into bundles using the TPT Bundle Tool.
  • Market your bundles with strong covers, thumbnails, and previews that show their true value.

Start building your first product line or bundle today, and watch how much easier (and more profitable) creating resources becomes over time.
